However perhaps the patch could be released separately so that those who want it can add the extra code to bfs using Patch.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6469704299235308349.post-80403420711497615672010-10-17T02:03:19.323+11:002010-10-17T02:03:19.323+11:00For people who actually have a use for it, a kerne...For people who actually have a use for it, a kernel configuration option for those two patches would probably be more appropriate. Not sure if the patches can be integrated that way though.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11469174621439712081noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6469704299235308349.post-71520561226872353742010-10-16T22:35:02.750+11:002010-10-16T22:35:02.750+11:00You like them? However, why is it so hard to nice your compiles? It has exactly the same effect, and there is precisely ZERO point to using more jobs than CPUs. I'm really struggling with why people love this so much. This goes back to why I hated heuristics so much in the first place that made me write a new scheduler.ckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02904761195451530213noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6469704299235308349.post-1163474153699752502010-10-16T22:30:07.319+11:002010-10-16T22:30:07.319+11:00Disabled by default, ok, but please don't drop...Disabled by default, ok, but please don't drop the new patches from ck1-final. As for mplayer and gnome applets failing to initialize with group_thread_accounting, I don't use them anyway :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
